Dr. Arun Elango, a Dental Surgeon is the founder of Coastal Grand Hotels and Resorts. His initiatives in the education sector are legendary. These include Coastal Elango Institute of Hotel Management and Coastal Overseas Edu Corp where over a thousand students study. His business ventures are fast becoming a top sector in the medical field. These include Roots Dental Care and Implant Centre with one branch in Chennai.

Our first endeavour with hospitality began in 2012 with the opening of Hotel Coastal Residency at Namakkal. We set about a plan to expand this. Our goal is to continue to be one of the leading luxury destinations in the world of hotels. Coastal Grand Hotels and Resorts initially comprised of just one hotel and it soon grew and paved the way for everything else.

Since 2019, we have been growing rapidly with many different properties under our brand umbrella. We have found a great way to help guests find the right location for their needs as we have our properties at mountain destinations, urban destinations, spa destinations, family destinations and more.
